Longshots I like today with some insight.
Race 6…#5 Arizona Blue 15-1 ML… this colt has 2 wins, 2 seconds and 3 thirds from 8 starts. His lone finish out of the money was his last race where he finished 4th beaten by 1/2 length while carrying 136lbs. I’m not usually a weight guy but this horse has been carrying 131 lbs or more in every race but one where he carried 129. Today he carrie’s 122lbs. He has raced against of couple of the top choices(Asterius and Whistlejacket) and finished ahead of them both in a common race on June 20th.
Race 7…#2 Snowyte 15-1 ML… this is an angle play plus a breeding play. Snowyte is a filly by Good Magic. Back in 2017, Good Magic was a maiden with 2 second place finishes making his 3rd start in the Breeders Cup Juvenile and he won convincingly. Today the maiden Snowyte tries to duplicate what her Daddy did. Snowyte ran second in his first start beating today’s favorite Scottish Lassie and then ran second behind Scottish Lassie in her last start, the G1 Frizette. She paired beaters in her first 2 starts and I think she makes a big move forward today.
Race 8…#6 Virgin Colada 20-1 ML… I singled #1 Lake Victoria as I think she will be tough to beat and the rest are running for second. I put Virgin Colada on my watch list after I saw her win her first race at Saratoga. Since then she has run 2nd twice as the favorite but both races were very good and her beyers increased with each race. Chad Brown always has his horses ready and it’s rare you get a double digit price on Brown turf horse.
Race 9…#2 Getaway Car 20-1… Baffert has 3 entered and this is the higher price of the 3. In his last start he ran 2nd behind Citizen bull(Baffert horse) when starting outside of that horse who got the lead. Today he starts inside and should get a perfect trip behind East Avenue.
Race 10…#9 The Waco Kid 20-1 ML… this 2 year old has run 6 races all overseas with 2 wins and a third. His figures have improved with every race and today stretches out to a mile after all sprint races. His speed should have him right in the mix early
